Three months is nothing in the lifetime of a blog…
But yes, you do get to know where you are heading, and think…!!!

Let’s see.
In the past three months, at therewillbetime, we have discussed screenplay writing with Farookh Dhondhy and Soumik Sen, Copywriting with Stanley Pinto, Satire Writing with Akash ‘Deshbhakt’ Banerjee, and Travel Writing with Nishi Pulugurtha.

We have also explored making stories with Gabriel Emanuel (the playwright of Einstein), found some answers to Syd Field’s Documentary Paradigm, went reading and children’s storybook writing with Room to Read, and watched some films made by Special Young Adults in a FTII Workshop…

While exploring what I can’t say about Kashmir, I did say what I can say about Man vs Wild…

We celebrated an Independence day special with a budding graphics artist, and his letter to his mom.

And yes, we did go places as well.

To meet Vincent Van Gogh in the French Countryside, and to explore the fad of Area 51 in Nevada, US…and closer home, went out and visited the making of a Theme Puja pandal…

And then the evolution of a song … from a writers perspective.

Too many areas??? Too diverse…!!!

But then that’s what screenwriting is all about.

You can either choose to mix elements from various films while sitting cozy in your armchair…or you can reach out and make friends while enjoying the diversity of your experience, and pick your ideas from the life you live.

I am the second type, and proud of it.

You can’t learn much out of textbooks, unless you pit your learning against life and validate them. For me, I am still learning, and my blog is for my fellow learners.

I can only say, our journey has just begun, and there’s a lot of excitement ahead … like understanding the language of editing with a eight times National Award winner film-editor…
